It is a Democratic Republic nation with a Parliamentary system of Government and consists of 29 states and 7 union territories. Every state has its unique cultural heritage, tradition, cuisine, costume, festival, language and so on. India as a country is truly very diverse, yet united. Union Territories are administered by the President through an Administrator appointed by him/her.
